Clergy Notes – July 10th, 2026

Dear Truro family,

One of the things we learn repeatedly in the book of Psalms is that we can always be real with God. Our God reveals himself to us and invites us to respond to him in faith and with honesty. Remember what we say every Sunday at the beginning of our services: all our desires are known, and none of our secrets are hidden from God.

J.I. Packer wrote in his book Knowing God:

There is tremendous relief in knowing that (God’s) love to me is utterly realistic, based at every point on prior knowledge of the worst about me, so that no discovery now can disillusion him about me, in the way I am so often disillusioned about myself, and quench his determination to bless me.

Be encouraged today: God’s love for you is utterly realistic! He knows you, sees you, and hears you. You can always be real with God. Because God’s love is always real for you. And in Jesus you can know that for certain.
