Dr. Ryan Shelton serves as Director of Worship, helping oversee the gathered worship of the church. Ryan is music educator and worship historian who has led congregational worship for 20 years. He received a B.S. in Music Education from Texas A&M University Commerce, an M.Div. from Bethlehem College & Seminary (Minneapolis), and a Th.M. in Worship from Calvin Theological Seminary (Grand Rapids). Ryan and his wife, Charissa, returned to the U.S. in spring 2025 after living 5 years in the United Kingdom, where Ryan earned a Ph.D. in History from Queen’s University Belfast. He has a passion for helping congregations engage mind, heart, and body in magnifying Christ. Ryan and Charissa enjoy drinking coffee, cooking, traveling, and walking trails around their home.
