Truro welcomes the opportunity to partner with families helping children to take steps of faith toward Jesus and to know and experience the love of God.
The Nest is our childcare for our littlest ones. Childcare policies and availability are changing as we move toward reopening. Here are our current guidelines.
Childcare policies and availability are changing as state regulations and Covid-19 protocols change for children. Here are our current guidelines.
Please bring your child to the first floor of the education wing where we will meet you to check-in. Children three and older are required to wear a face mask when attending The Nest. Parents are asked to also wear a mask when coming to the Nest. Currently, parents are not permitted in the classrooms to reduce the spread of germs, including Covid-19 exposure. We do our best to make your child comfortable and happy and we will text you if we feel they might be happier with their family.
All our workers are trained in child safety procedures, including appropriate ways to maintain a clean environment and first aid/Child CPR. All our workers are also vaccinated and will still wear masks when children are with us.
When registering, you will be asked three questions. Please do not bring your child to The Nest if you can answer “Yes” to any of these questions:
- Has your child, or anyone in the household, experienced any of the following in the past 24 hours: fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, sore throat, runny nose, body aches, diarrhea, loss of taste or smell?
- Has your child received any fever reducing medication, such as Tylenol or Motrin/Advil in the past 24 hours?
- In the past 14 days, has your child had a pending or positive test of COVID-19, or has your child had close contact with someone confirmed or suspected of COVID-19.
We also have a Mom’s Room just down the steps from the sanctuary and outside of the undercroft, where mothers can bring children who need a diaper change or just some wiggle room. The 11:15 service is livestreamed to this room. Space is limited to two moms at a time.

TPK (Truro Preschool & Kindergarten)
Truro Preschool & Kindergarten is a Christian developmental preschool. Our approach is to teach to the whole child, using a variety of materials, with a well-rounded curriculum of teacher-led and child-led experiences. Our goal is to help children to become confident learners and problem-solvers with solid academic and social skills, knowing they are loved by God and designed to experience a relationship with him.
Our kids ministry is a warm, fun, safe place for kids to make friends and grow up in Christ together. 9:00 kids ministry outside. This Fall, families are worshipping together at our 11:15am service.
Trained and background-checked adults lead this ministry on Sundays at 9:00am on the Truro playground. Check-in is in front of the church on the brick walkway.
Worship From Home
If you are worshipping from home at our 11:15 livestream, check out our kids videos on the Truro Anglican YouTube channel. Additional resources prepared for kids and families to use at home are available too. We have regular pickup times on campus—and we deliver!
Contact Anne Bronaugh, Director of Kids Ministry, to receive Kids kits or family materials and to get information on how you can join us for regular kids and family events.

This Fall, families are worshipping together at our 11:15am service.
Youth at Truro
