Jamie Brown

Jamie Brown has served as rector of Truro Anglican Church since September 2022. Born and raised in a ministry family in Florida, Jamie discerned a call to serve the Church at a young age, and began leading worship weekly at the age of 13. After graduating from Oakton High School, he earned his B.A. in Psychology from George Mason University, and a Master of Arts in Religion from Reformed Theological Seminary. Jamie has served on the Truro staff in various roles since 2014, first as the Director of Worship. Jamie is passionate about Truro’s “four pillars” of the Word, worship, community, and outreach. His prayer for Truro is that God will continue to strengthen those pillars, and lead us forward to be a church of restoration, rebuilding, and raising-up. In his free time, he enjoys running, music, and spending time with his family. Jamie is married to Catherine, and they have four children: Megan, Emma, Callie, and Jacob.
Steve Cannizzaro
Associate Rector

Steve is an Associate Rector whose responsibility is to help care for, disciple, and encourage those at Truro. His primary focus is to provide pastoral care, encourage community life, and promote the young adult community. Previously Steve served as the Director of Discipleship and Outreach at The Falls Church Anglican where he was responsible for Adult Discipleship, New Members, the Young Adult Community, and Local and Global Mission. Steve carried his sense of calling to discipleship, community, and outreach across the arc of his occupations in teaching, banking operations, and consulting. In 2014 he and his wife, Libby, discerned the Lord leading him to ministry in and through the church. He graduated from Trinity School for Ministry with a Master of Arts in Religion in 2019, and he was ordained a priest in the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic in 2020. Steve and Libby share a vision and passion for teaching the next generation of men and women to be disciples of Jesus, to love each other with the great love of God, and to live with a vision for the Kingdom!
Abigail Whitehouse

Abigail is delighted to serve as a part-time Associate Rector at Truro, overseeing prayer and women’s ministry. Originally from the Pittsburgh area, Abigail graduated from the University of Virginia and worked in child advocacy in D.C. prior to discerning a call to ordained ministry. She received her M.Div from Duke Divinity School and helped to found and lead the New City Fellows Program at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Raleigh. Most recently, Abigail served as the Pastor for Children and Families at Incarnation Church in Williamsburg, VA. Abigail is married to John, an Air Force Officer, and is passionate about helping others grow in intimacy with God and with one another. When she isn’t ministering, Abigail enjoys gardening, painting and making a delicious mess in the kitchen with her two young children, Nathaniel and Aurora.
Steven Shalita

Steven Shalita serves as an Associate Rector, overseeing Truro’s marriage ministry alongside his wife Michelle, while maintaining his full-time work in international development. Born to a Ugandan ministry family, Steven was ordained in 2003, and spent most of his early service working with youth, doing evangelistic outreach, introducing contemporary worship, and establishing marriage ministries. Steven and his family moved to Fairfax in 2013 and joined Truro. Steven and Michelle have four adult children: Colin (married to Bronwyn), Judah, Stephanie and Manzi. They enjoy traveling, cooking, walking, gardening and just chilling. Steven has a bachelor’s and master’s in communication from Makerere University and University of Leeds in the UK respectively, and a postgraduate diploma in Christian Ministries.
Preston Hansen
Director of Family Ministries

Preston Hansen is the Director of Family Ministries and was ordained a deacon in the Anglican Church of North America in August 2023. Preston earned a B.A. from James Madison University and his master’s degree from Trinity School for Ministry. Preston is married to Rachel, and they have two daughters. In his free time, he loves spending time with family, playing/watching sports, cooking/grilling, and going on adventures.

Molly Andreson

Molly Andreson provides administrative and ministry support for the rector and the other clergy at Truro. Molly grew up in the Midwest, but transplanted here to NOVA and Truro 25 years ago. She earned her BA at Taylor University, in Upland, IN. She lives here in Fairfax with her husband and their two children.
Daria Brown
Director of Operations

Daria Brown is the Director of Operations and oversees facilities, finance, HR, systems, and more, helping them work together to best support Truro’s ministries. Daria grew up in Pennsylvania, but moved to Virginia for college and has never moved back. She has a degree in psychology from Eastern Mennonite University. Daria has spent many years working in retail management before joining the team at Truro. She lives in Fairfax with her husband, Jesse, and 4 children.
Marsha Foos

Marsha Foos is the Financial Controller and oversees the budgeting and finance processes, ensuring people and bills are paid, and contributions are tracked and deposited. Marsha grew up in a small town in MT and was once chased by a moose. She lives in Fairfax with her husband, Andrew, and their 3 kids.
Kingsley Brinkley
Bookkeeper

Kingsley Brinkley is the Bookkeeper. She helps Marsha maintain the books and accounting. This is a dream job for Kingsley as she has always enjoyed working with people and numbers. Kingsley grew up and went to college in VA. She earned a B.S. degree in Commerce with a concentration in Accounting from UVA’s McIntire School of Commerce. Kingsley lives close by in Fairfax City with her husband, Bill, and is blessed to have her kids and parents close by.
Maggie Marcum
Office and Event Manager & Early Childhood Coordinator

Maggie Marcum is the Office and Event Manager responsible for volunteer coordination, event oversight, and management of office resources across Truro, under the Parish Operations Area of Ministry (AOM). Maggie interacts with all AOMs, providing administrative support. She is the point-of-contact for weddings and funerals at Truro. As the Early Childhood Coordinator for Family Ministry, she supervises a fabulous team in The Nest, who provide care for newborns to Pre-K children as they learn about Jesus on Sunday. She is Truro’s safety officer and presents monthly workshops on best practices for volunteers who engage with vulnerable people in our midst. Maggie retired from the intelligence community after serving for 35 years and holds a B.S. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University. She is a trained spiritual director and community group leader. Maggie enjoys connecting with friends and family and helping everyone discover their ministry calling.
Jason LaLone

Jason LaLone is the Systems Project Manager and works with the different software systems church, making sure they are all up to date and operating correctly. Jason grew up locally in Fairfax, Virginia where he graduated from Robinson Secondary School. He went on to study business at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville. Jason now lives in Manassas where he loves playing volleyball and going to all the local coffee shops.

Anne Bronaugh
Director of Kids Ministry
Anne Bronaugh is the Director of Kids Ministry where her greatest hope is for kids to know Jesus, take steps of faith, and feel and be a valued part of a supportive community…and to have FUN! After graduating from James Madison University with a degree in Communications, Anne worked in Media and Public Relations before rediscovering a love for teaching through volunteer work. She spent 10 years teaching and helping lead the chapel program at TPK before becoming the kids director at Truro five years ago. Anne lives in Fairfax City, three minutes from Truro if she hits the lights right, with her husband Tim and their four kids (except when some are at college) who all grew up at Truro.

Alan MacDonald
Missions and Outreach Coordinator

Alan MacDonald serves as the Missions and Outreach Coordinator here at Truro. He was a Wycliffe missionary for 32 years and served with both Wycliffe and SIL International in government relations, international relations, and program administration that included 15 years in field assignments in Mexico, Philippines, and China. Alan earned a B.A. in History and Political Science from Houghton College, an M.A. from the University of Southern California School of Journalism as well as graduate studies in ethnology at the University of Oklahoma. His greatest educational achievement was learning Chinese in the Yale-in-Asia Program at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Alan is married to Doris. From their very first visit to Truro they have felt that this is “home.” Alan considers it “all joy” to serve at Truro, a church with a rich history in missions and continued impact “around the world and across the street.”
Myra Hinote

Myra Hinote is the Director of TIPS, working in partnership with Nadiia, Nahiroby, and 50+ volunteers to keep this ministry to 220+ students from over 30 countries going strong. Myra is a jack of all trades and master of none, with degrees in Astrophysics, Religion, and International Relations. She has extensive experience in volunteer management, non-profit organizations, and event planning. She is an Air Force spouse and has lived in 21 different places. Myra and her husband Clint have 3 young-adult children — Meg, Hunter, & Holly — and two ridiculously spoiled black labs.

Cindy Olland
Lay Counselor and Chaplain to the Staff

Cindy Olland is available to our congregation as a lay counselor, and serves as Chaplain to the Staff. Cindy has a B.A. Degree in Political Science from Hiram College in Ohio, and after working as a paralegal, moved to a career in communications. She worked at Freddie Mac for 26 years and then as the Communications Director for six years in her previous church. She received Lay Counseling training from the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation (CCEF) outside of Philadelphia. Cindy lives in Reston.

Fiona Bracy

Fiona Bracy is the director of TPK (Truro Preschool and Kindergarten). She grew up in the London area in the UK and moved with her husband and two children in 2003 to Northern Virginia where she began working at TPK as a classroom teacher. She then moved into administration as the developmental specialist, and later as director. She has a heart to see young children make healthy connections and enjoy a relationship with Jesus. She enjoys equipping parents of young kids with needed tools to raise their children. She also enjoys traveling, exercising, reading and spending quality time with friends.

Joshua Spacht
Director of Worship and Arts (Interim)
Joshua Spacht was born and raised in western Pennsylvania where his father was a church music director. He has worked extensively with Disney Live Entertainment and his music can be heard throughout Disney properties in parades, attractions, Broadway-style shows, public spaces, and other installations. His choral compositions and arrangements are published with Word Music, LifeWay Publishing, and Santa Barbara Music Publishing. In addition to his work as a composer and producer, he’s the pianist and leader of the classical-fusion ensemble Abilene. Joshua met his wife Carolyn while at college in California and the Lord has blessed them with a daughter, Eden. Above all, Joshua is a child of the King and longs to see congregations worship in spirit and truth.

Hugo Blondel
Facilities Manager
Hugo Blondel is the facilities manager responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of Truro Church properties, also ensuring that they meet legal requirements, and health and safety standards. He immigrated to the USA in 2001 from Bolivia, South America. He finished business administration school at the Bolivian Catholic University. He took English classes at NOVA, Facility Maintenance tech classes in FCPS, and ACE and Facility Management classes at George Mason University. He is married and has two children, and has been working at Truro for almost 10 years.
