Clergy Notes – November 3rd, 2023

Dear Truro family,

This fall, we begin a process to select four new vestry members. The vestry is composed of 12 members and the rector. Four members are elected each year from among the congregation, and serve three-year terms.

The vestry’s basic responsibilities are to: 1) Manage Truro’s finances and various administrative affairs; 2) Oversee the care of Truro’s property; and 3) Support the rector, clergy, and staff in carrying out Truro’s mission and vision.

The vestry needs committed members with diverse skills and gifts who can work together to serve the church. But most importantly, the vestry needs members who are biblically and spiritually mature, and whose lives demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit and are an example to the church. Candidates must be over 18, baptized, and confirmed members.
