Dear Truro family,
I wanted to remind you about two upcoming events for those who’d like to take the next step towards membership here at Truro, as well as membership in the broader Church when the bishop visits in early June.
First, our Truro Membership Lunch. Sunday, May 17 from 12:00pm – 2:15pm. We’ll introduce you to our foundational pillars and beliefs, and we’ll give you an opportunity to hear from various leaders about who we are and what we’re about. This lunch/course is for anyone who’d like to make their membership at Truro official, and/or be confirmed or received into the Anglican Church. Childcare provided! Register here.
Next, our Confirmation mini-retreat. Saturday, May 23 from 9:00am – 12:00pm. This retreat is encouraged (but optional) for anyone who would like to take a public and personal step forward as a Christian, and receive prayer with the laying on of hands by the bishop for one of the following expressions of faith:
- Confirmation if you’ve never made an adult profession of faith.
- Reception if you are being received into the Anglican Church of North America from another Christian tradition/denomination.
- Reaffirmation if you have recently found your faith and trust in Jesus to be particularly renewed.
