Clergy Notes – May 29th, 2026

Dear Truro family,

Yesterday morning, I had the privilege of leading the chapel service at The Lamb Center, the local daytime drop-in shelter in Fairfax for those experiencing homelessness. The Lamb Center began as a ministry of Truro in November 1992, and it’s amazing to see how God has expanded their reach over the last 30+ years. If you’re unfamiliar with this ministry, I think it would be a good idea for you to check out their website sometime. Thanks to your giving, Truro supports The Lamb Center as a local mission partner. But perhaps the Lord might lead you to personally support them too, either through volunteering or donating. On that note, you can see some of their current donation needs here.

One exciting new development in their ministry is the current construction of Beacon Landing on Fairfax Boulevard. This supportive housing facility will provide 54 affordable rental apartments and on-site supportive services for people experiencing or at risk of chronic homelessness.

I commend this local ministry to you, for your prayers and support. What a privilege to see what God birthed out of this place in 1992, that continues to thrive today.

Jamie
