Dear Truro family,
Since Jesus has told us that “the fields are white for harvest” (John 4:35), who are you inviting to come with you to church this weekend? Think about that friend, that coworker, or that neighbor who you think would never say yes to an invitation. That may very well be the next Samaritan man or woman who’s right on the verge of coming to Jesus. Allow me to strongly encourage you to invite someone to join you for church this weekend. They’ll hear the gospel read, sung, preached, and prayed. Trust that the same Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead is still at work today. All you need to do is the inviting (and maybe some gentle bribing).
