Clergy Notes – March 28th, 2025

Dear Truro family,

At our annual church family meeting two Sundays ago, Abigail Whitehouse shared a personal update with the congregation. In case you missed it, I’ve asked her to share it with you today:

My family and I received word this month that the Air Force will be moving us to Stuttgart, Germany in July for the next phase of my husband’s military career. While this is an excellent step for him professionally, and we are excited for what God has in store for us as a family, it’s hard to put into words the emotions that surface when we contemplate leaving Truro.

When my family and I arrived almost three years ago, we knew that Truro was special. Countless numbers of Anglican friends had told me that I was going to love it here! But nothing could have prepared us for how wonderful you all are and for the unparalleled joy I’ve experienced as a member of your clergy team. These past few years have been a gift.

Thankfully we have a few more months before the military packs us up and ships us off, so I will save my official goodbye for then. But I simply wanted to say “thank you” from the bottom of my heart for being the best parish a priest could ever hope to serve.

With all our love,

Abigail

Please join me in praying for the Whitehouse family as they prepare for this transition. Abigail and her family are so special to all of us at Truro, and we will certainly make sure we have time and occasions to show them that in the months to come!
