Clergy Notes – March 25, 2022

Dear Truro Family,I am delighted to announce officially the addition of two members to our staff team. I am thrilled that Daria Brown (no relation to Jamie Brown) has agreed to become our new Director of Operations, replacing Liz Brewster who is moving to North Carolina. Daria brings an abundance of experience in managing logistics, processes, and systems. She loves empowering people to accomplish their goals.

Daria and her husband Jesse have three young children and have worshiped at Truro since 2015. “I am delighted to be part of the Truro staff!” she says. “I look forward to meeting everyone and working with the team.” Please greet her at the Welcome Tent between the 9 and 11:15 am services this Sunday.

Alan MacDonald has recently been appointed as the (volunteer, part-time) Missions Coordinator, as we determine the best direction for the Missions and Outreach arm of Truro’s ministry.  He brings a wealth of knowledge to this position, having worked in missions for more than 40 years, both as a field missionary overseas and as a pastor of missions at another church in the Fairfax area. Alan is married to Doris and they have one adult child. Alan says, “It’s been a joy to move into this role. I look forward to helping build on the strong missions foundation of Truro.”

God continues to bless Truro with gifted and accomplished staff. Please give a hearty welcome and thanks to these new additions.

Blessings,
