Dear Truro family,
Last week I shared about the central opportunity for Truro members to participate in local, domestic, and international outreach all at once here on our campus through TIPS (Truro International Programs and Services). Today, let me tell you about our preschool and kindergarten (TPK)!
TPK was founded in 1979 to serve a small group of families, and has grown to impact a much wider community. TPK caters to children aged two and a half through kindergarten, and their families. Many of these students/families are otherwise unchurched. In 2024 – 2025, enrollment consisted of 121 students (108 families). Through its outreach efforts and events, TPK’s reach extends beyond its students and serves a total of approximately 400 people who primarily reside in Fairfax City and Fairfax County.
TPK provides a distinctly gospel-centered learning environment that fosters strong social, emotional, and problem-solving skills necessary for these kids to thrive, all while developing a robust academic foundation necessary for grade-level schooling. When you pray for TPK, or give to them financially, or come to their events, you are supporting an important outreach ministry of this church that provides a multifaceted education, and that addresses many diverse needs of this local community. Let’s continue to pray for the wonderful ministry of TPK, and ask God to show us ways to support their amazing staff and families in the years to come.
