Dear Truro family,
Last week I shared with you some volunteer opportunities to serve our youngest members. Today I’d like to highlight some ways you can get involved in serving our International Students here at Truro.
- Classroom Volunteer (In-Person): Serve as an assistant or lead teacher for English classes. For anyone who speaks English and enjoys cross-cultural friendships. Classroom assistants typically serve once or twice weekly on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 9:15-11:30am during the school year (beginning after Labor Day).
- Classroom Volunteer (Online): Serve as an assistant or lead teacher for online English classes. For someone comfortable with virtual learning who enjoys helping others practice English. Volunteers typically serve once or twice weekly on Mondays or Wednesdays from 6:30-8:45pm (beginning after Labor Day).
- Bond over Bites: Help prepare lunches for TIPS participants. For someone who enjoys hospitality and serving others through practical care. Volunteers typically serve Tuesdays or Thursdays from 9:45am-12:30pm, either weekly or as a one-time opportunity.
