Dear Truro family,
The Bible is full of amazing descriptions of what it means to be the people of God. A “spiritual house… a holy priesthood” (1 Peter 2:5). A “dwelling place for God by the Spirit” (Ephesians 2:22). The “body of Christ” (1 Corinthians 12:27). And on and on. The Church of Jesus Christ is held together by the Spirit of Christ, led by the person of Christ, and exists for the proclamation of the gospel of Christ!
This informs Truro’s four pillars: The Word (about Christ), worship (of Christ), community (in Christ), and outreach (for Christ). And this informs Truro’s purpose: We exist to celebrate and proclaim the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. And all of this informs Truro’s priorities: restoration, rebuilding, and raising-up (the work of Christ). May God continue to give us a firm foundation and a faith-filled focus as his people!
