Dear Truro family,
Every year we place a major emphasis during Lent on offering opportunities to connect with others and connect with God together. That’s why – between now and Easter – you’ll hear a lot about weekly community night dinners, followed by Leaning Into Lent. I know how busy everyone is in Northern Virginia, so please don’t feel any pressure to add yet one more thing to your calendar! But if you’re able to join us for any of these, we’re praying that they help us all become more “rooted and established” in community and as disciples of Jesus.
Another way to get connected into the life of this church is by finding a place to serve. Many of you are already serving in some way – or in multiple ways – and in some cases, too many ways! But if you haven’t yet found how your gifts fit here at Truro, I’d like for you to begin praying about that. At our annual church family meeting on March 15, we’re hoping to have something to put in your hands that helps you know the basics of where your gifts might be needed, and who you can contact to explore that more.
