A note from Steve Cannizzaro
Dear Truro Family,
As summer slowly draws to a close, and we look ahead to the fall, this is my hope and prayer for you.
I pray you connect, that is, find your place at Truro among a group of like-minded friends with whom you share this journey of faith. A caring, loving, reconciling, and safe community where you are seen, known, and loved. Where you see, know, and love others. Where you forgive, and you are forgiven. Jesus charges us to, “Love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:34-35). Together we are meant to be little lights in a world of darkness.
I pray you grow. Grow in your love for him, each other, and your neighbors. “I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong” (Ephesians 3:16-17 NLT). And your life will bear the fruit of the Spirit 30, 60, and 100 fold (Galatians 5:22-23).
I pray you serve. You are unique – unlike any other – and you have a place and purpose in the Body of Christ! How has the Lord uniquely created you? What role has he given you? “Whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him” (Colossians 3:17).
Grace and peace to you.
Steve
