Dear Truro family,
As we approach Holy Week, beginning with Palm Sunday next week (Sunday, April 13), and moving into Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday, I want to encourage you to join us for worship on all those days. The specific service times are further down in today’s Truro News. Personally, I grew up in the Anglican tradition of attending church a lot during Holy Week. So, like many of you, I’m used to this. But this much church in one week may be a new tradition for others of you. Trust me: there’s nothing quite like walking through the story of Jesus’ triumphal entry, last supper, betrayal in the garden, sham trial, crucifixion, and resurrection with the people of God, in the house of God, hearing the Word of God, singing to God, and being reminded of the great story of God. I’m looking forward to a wonderful month (including a wonderful a meaningful Holy Week) of worship with you all.
Your brother,
Jamie
