Clergy Notes – April 28th, 2023

Dear Truro Family,

As I shared in my Rector’s Report to you last month: “I believe that God desires to restore Truro to a strong, vibrant, healthy, normal local church that does ministry with excellence, simplicity, and scalability. We are called to minister to all age groups – from our babies in the nursery, to our seniors in retirement, and to all ages in-between – as well and as faithfully as we possibly can.”

So, on that note, I’d like to ask for your prayers as Truro begins a search for our next Director of Family Ministries. Working alongside our wonderful family ministry staff (Anne Bronaugh, Summer Fariñas and Maggie Marcum) and volunteers, this person will step into a large role, helping to oversee how we “shepherd the flock of God” (1 Peter 5:2) across a broad range of ages.

Over the next few months as we continue the process of sending Mike Seawright (and his family and a launch team) to plant a church in Burke, we are asking God to direct us to the next person whom God has raised up to bring leadership and vision to our ministry to kids, youth, young adults, and their families.

Pray that, as we respond in obedience to the “upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14) sending a team out from Truro, God would lead us clearly to the person who would hear that very same call of God to Truro.

The job description, qualifications, and information on how to apply can be found HERE

Your brother,

Jamie
