Kings, Queens, and Cranmer: How the English Reformation Shaped Our Worship
Dates:
Sundays: November 30, December 7, and December 21. (Class will not meet on December 14.)
Time and location:
9:00am in Common Grounds
Join the Rev. Dr. Richard Crocker for an Advent Sunday School class called “Kings, Queens, and Cranmer: How the English Reformation Shaped Our Worship”. Explore how the English Reformation gave rise to the Anglican Church.
In three sessions, we’ll follow Henry VIII, Edward VI, and Elizabeth I — and see how Thomas Cranmer’s biblical vision of worship and the Book of Common Prayer emerged from royal intrigue and reformation zeal.
