Clergy Notes – June 26th, 2026

We’re wrapping up a great week of Vacation Bible School today. It’s been a joy to see the campus filled with children – and with volunteers and staff helping to shepherd those children. Praise God for a week where Jesus has been proclaimed and everyone has had a lot of fun.

I recently heard of an unchurched family that had a child enrolled in our preschool and kindergarten (TPK) last school year. This family had never prayed together before, until their child learned about prayer at TPK and began initiating prayer at home. The parent said: “It’s become a wonderful new rhythm for us.”

That reminds me of Psalm 145:4: “One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts”. Often, it’s the older generation doing that commending and declaring. Like a VBS volunteer giving up a week to serve third graders. But sometimes it’s the other way around. Like a four-year-old teaching her parents how to pray.
