Dear Truro family,
For over a year, we’ve prayerfully searched for the right person to join our pastoral team, to provide leadership to adult discipleship and community groups, and to assist with shepherding the flock of God here at Truro. After a nationwide search, we discovered that the right person was here all along. I’m delighted to share that the Rev. Chris Hammond will be joining the Truro staff as a full-time Pastoral Associate beginning June 15. His main focus will be on adult discipleship and formation, as well as pastoral care systems.

Many of you already know Chris through his ministry among us over the last year, leading our Sunday School class as well as preaching and teaching occasionally. Chris comes to us with over 25 years of ministry experience, most of which overlapped with his 27 years of service in the federal government. Chris is married to Elizabeth and they have two children.
Inquiring minds will be interested to know that Chris is a minister member in good standing with the East Central Presbytery of the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians (ECO). In the months ahead, Chris will begin the Anglican ordination discernment process with the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic. Please pray for him in that process, and as he prepares to begin his ministry with us next month.
