Current Classes

Classes and courses are designed to engage the head, heart, and hands while helping participants grow in their relationship with Jesus and others. We usually offer a small handful of courses lasting 4 – 9 weeks each fall, winter, and spring on a wide range of subjects.

Prayers in the Bible

Sundays Sept 10th through November 12th at 9am in Common Grounds

Studying the Prayers of the Bible can be a rewarding and uplifting experience. The recorded prayers and the answers God gives are an encouragement to us as we pursue our relationship with the Lord.

The goals for this class are to:

  • Increase the faith of the participants.
  • Learn tips, strategies, and “best practices” for prayer.
  • Learn “worst practices” to avoid.
  • Gain a greater appreciation of the ancient Biblical world.
  • Increase our vision of God and of how He works in our lives. What is His priority in our relationship with Him?

We do this by examining the background of each vignette from the Bible; studying the character of the people involved; and looking for keys and principles to successful prayers. Bring your Bible and a notepad! Childcare provided.
