“I came that they might have life, and have it abundantly.” —John 10:10
“I am the Lord, your Healer.” —Exodus 15:26

Jesus’s central mission was to bring life, freedom, wholeness and healing into the lives of those He met. Truro Anglican Church believes this is central to our mission as well.

However, wounds of the past and places of pain can prevent us from becoming the person God longs for us to be. We want to support you in any way we can and we therefore offer various opportunities for you to receive prayer and experience healing.

We also encourage your testimonies of healing. They will encourage us all.

Prayer at the Rail

During the distribution of Holy Communion and following each of the Sunday services, prayer teams are available to pray confidentially with you. These prayer times are usually brief, and focus on the more immediate needs of those receiving prayer.

Individual In-depth Prayer

The Healing Prayer Team is made up of lay people who are called, committed and trained to pray for physical, emotional and spiritual healing.

We provide a safe and confidential setting for people to come and receive prayer for issues related to anything that hinders their spiritual walk of faith. We address issues such as anger, fear, guilt, unforgiveness, broken relationships, and heart attitudes that might keep us from being all that God longs for us to be.

To receive this type of prayer, or to make inquiries about this ministry, call Sue Hardman at 703.273.1300 x305. You will be referred to a trained team of two prayer ministers who will meet privately with you.

Soaking Prayer

Northern Virginia can be a frenzied place, and many of us find that Holy Silence can often be elusive. This is an opportunity to be in the presence of God for a few hours: to rest, to be still, to listen and to soak up His love. Held periodically in the Chapel, you are welcome to come and go as you please. As gentle and worshipful music plays in the background, prayer ministers circulate and silently pray.
