Truro Kids supports parents in their faith journey with their kids. We offer fun and engaging chances for kids to explore faith. We would love to support you, and to get to know you and your kids!
We use The Gospel Project curriculum in our time with kids from 2 years old through 5th grade.
Sunday morning programs happen during our 9:00 and 11:15 services all year long.
2–3 years: Parents may drop off kids in a special classroom in the nursery hallway for the entirety of the service or just during the sermon. We’ll teach the same Gospel Project curriculum the older kids use, with a version designed specifically for ages 2 and 3.
4 years–5th grade start in church with their parents. During the service, they follow an acolyte carrying a cross and go to their meeting space in the Undercroft (below the Sanctuary). Kids meet in small groups there by age and return to the service for Communion with their families.
Kids Half Time
From September–June, classes for kids (preschool through 5th grade) run between morning services from 10:25–11:10 am. Kids are in classrooms in the education building.
Other Opportunities for Kids
K–3rd grade: Tue(s), 5:00–5:50 pm
4th–8th grade: Tue(s) 5:55–6:50 pm
Dance kids participate in services from September–May, with high schoolers serving as student leaders.
Kids Altar Guild
Kids can go behind the scenes on some Saturday mornings and/or Sundays to help prepare the church for Communion.
Other special events occur throughout the year (sometimes in conjunction with book and Bible studies, the Marriage Course, and the Alpha and Rooted programs), designed to explore your faith, strengthen your family, and connect you with a community.
