In 2011, I was two years into my “real job”. I had graduated college, gotten my degree and set out to conquer the world. Conquering the world really meant becoming a true adult who had responsibilities, bills and college debt. Unfortunately paying those bills meant waking up at 5:30am every morning, driving through NOVA traffic and going to work all day. Reality had set in, I was no longer in college and I started to miss the days that I could go to class, come back to my dorm and take a nap.

The other wonderful thing about college was that I was surrounded by amazing people. I had great friends. Friends that supported me, laughed with me and who I could enjoy life with. And in reality, I missed those friends. Enter Alpha.

I did Alpha in January of 2012 and its there that I met some of my closest friends in NOVA. I needed a place to wrestle with big questions in life. But I also needed to do it with people who wouldn’t judge me and instead, explore with me.

Seven years later I’m still involved with Alpha and I still love it!
