As many of you know, nuptial theology is very important to me. This lens for understanding God as Husband to His people—not just as King or Judge—tells us so much about the gospel. It reminds us that to be a Christian is not primarily to know the right information about God, but to enter into a loving relationship with Him. It teaches us how to orient ourselves toward the Ultimate Marriage for which we are all destined: the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

This year we are hosting six different events to explore this profound reality in more depth as it pertains to our respective situations of marriage and singleness. “Nuptial Theology for Everybody” is a series of gatherings to enrich our faith; some are oriented toward singleness, some toward marriage, and some are designed to bring us all together to share and learn from each other. The first of these events is this Sun, Sep 17 from 1:00 – 2:30 pm in Common Grounds. All are welcome to have lunch and discuss the topic of marriage, singleness and mysticism. Please RSVP here if you would like to attend.
